MANAGER Tony Gore says he's excited to see what his new-look team of youngsters can achieve this season.

Gore has overhauled his Dudley Sports squad after a difficult West Midlands Premier League campaign last term.

He has kept only four of the squad and bought in a host of new arrivals, including goalkeeper Liam O'Dowd, left-back Ryan Thomas, midfielder Dominic Griffith and forwards Adam Skeldon, Matt Hearsay and talented 16-year-old Zak Ballard.

Sports will start this new season this Saturday with a trip to face Ellesmere Ranger (3pmkick-off). That will be followed by their first home clash when Wolverhampton Sporting visit Hillcrest Avenue next Wednesday (7.45pm).

Gore said: "We've made a lot of changes after last season so I'm excited to see what we can do.

"Only time will tell but our pre-season has been very promising. I think we will hopefully cause a few teams some problems this season.

"There seems to be a freedom in the squad that we didn't have last year. The players want to express themselves and we've been working hard on keeping possession of the ball.

"In all of our pre-season friendlies we have looked very comfortable on the ball, which is not something you could say about us the last few years.

"We're really looking forward to getting going now. It's going to be tough but you never know what young players are capable off."
