How they rated:

Stourbridge 1, Matlock Town 1

Gould: Didn't have a great deal to do but kept his concentration to save well from Bailey-King in the final moments. Came and collected well at times too. 7.

Christophorou: Solid if unspectacular showing from the new arrival from Rushall. Kept the shape well and kept things simple. 6.

Westlake: Looked like he was going to be in for a tricky afternoon up against the lively Bailey-King but grew into the challenge and did well defensively. 7.

McCone: Won his fair share of headers against Harrad and Newsham and was unlucky not to bag a winner in the dying seconds when seeing a header cleared off the line. Did give a lot of fouls away trying to nip in a win it at times. 6.

Pierpoint: Could have done better for Matlock's goal as he let the ball drop in behind him. Did okay defensively and often chose the safer option of clearing his lines rather than finding a team mate. 6.

Gater: Struggled to get into the game in the first half but was the main Stour attacker willing to put his foot on the ball and make things happen in the second period. Linked up the midfield and attack well. 7.5.

Forde: The former Yeltz man did well in midfield and was a big part of Stour's improved control in the second half. Won some good challenges and picked the right times to drive forwards and support the attack. Decent start. 7.5.

Broadhurst: Struggled to get the time he needed in the first half and wasn't helped by Stour's long balls over midfield. Won some good headers and worked hard but didn't influence the game as he'd have liked. 6.

Archer: The Glassboys' goal scorer worked hard leading the line and carved out two or three chances for himself in the first half after latching on to hopeful balls forward. Showed well for the ball and netted at a crucial time. 8.

Murphy: like many of his team-mates, he struggled to get into the game in the first half and cut an isolated figure in one of the wide positions of a front three. Improved in the second half as the game opened up. 6.

Brown: Ever the willing runner, he worked hard for the side during a slow first half. Managed to bring the ball down well under pressure and help his side get up the pitch. Did okay in the second half until an awkward collision in midfield ended his afternoon and he limped off with a knee injury. 7.

Subs:

Hague: Livewire when he was introduced just before the hour and gave Stour extra impetus going forward. Will be disappointed he didn't do well with a one-on-one but that came just three minutes after his introduction. Shot powerfully wide late on too. Good cameo from the academy graduate. 7.5.

O'Callaghan: Did okay after his introduction but didn't have chance to influence things. 6.

Rowe: Late change as the Glassboys went looking for a winner. N/A.

Unused subs: Duggan, Green.
