ANDY Allardice says he’s heartened by the hard work of his Dudley Town players.

The Robins slipped to their fifth successive league defeat last Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Malvern Town.

However, the battling qualities of his side have given the manager reason to believe in his youngsters.

He said: “We really have worked extremely hard lately, especially the last two games against very good opposition.

“Our big problem is that as soon as the first goal goes in we really struggle.

“That’s down to a lack of experience and confidence.

“The players need to realise that it’s all part and parcel of this league and make sure they aren’t so affected by conceding.

“It’s tough for us but I know I just need to be patient because it will change eventually, it just takes time.

“Hopefully soon we’ll start being rewarded for the hard work we are putting in.”

Dudley are due to go to Bewdley tonight before welcoming Pegasus Juniors to the Dell this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
