A DOUBLE from Romano Graham helped Dudley Sports to a much-needed win over AFC Bridgnorth.

The 2-0 victory last Saturday was Dudley's first in seven games and lifts them to 15th in the West Midlands Premier League.

Boss Tony Gore was pleased with the hard work that underpinned his side's success.

He said: "I was very pleased with the performance, from the goalkeeper right through to the subs that came on.

"We were at it from the start and had the workrate we needed.

"When you work hard first and foremost it makes life a lot easier and that showed on Saturday.

"Our sides have always had that work ethic and our performance against Bridgnorth was like the Dudley Sports of old.

"It's been a difficult season so far, especially with the players that have left, but it's satisfying when you play like that after rebuilding. It makes you believe you're heading in the right direction again."

Sports now face a tough trip to Bewdley Town this Saturday.

The will be without Joe Wilcox and Mark Gore with ankle injuries but will have defender Luke Brookes available after his switch from rivals Dudley Town.
