BOSS Gary Hackett is demanding a high-energy showing from Stourbridge when strugglers Sutton Coldfield visit the War Memorial Ground this Saturday.

The basement boys arrive at Amblecote looking to give their Northern Premier League survival hopes a much-needed boost (3pm kick-off).

However, Hackett is keen for his Glassboys to match Sutton's work-rate as they look to kick-start a strong end to an inconsistent campaign.

It will also be the first of just two home games in March for Stour.

Hackett said: "It's going to be a very tough game against Sutton Coldfield.

"They will have a few familiar faces playing for them and they're fighting for their lives to try and stay in this division.

"You can guarantee they will be working very hard and we have to be aware of that and make sure we match them."

The clash will be the last for loanee Chris Lait before the winger returns to Solihull Moors.

The Glassboys are only missing long-term absentee Jack Duggan ahead of the weekend.

Hackett also said he's keen to bolster his squad for the run-in and will be looking to give himself more options, especially after Lait's departure.

Meanwhile, Stour have been struggling for game time due to their last two fixtures falling victim to the freezing conditions.

The reverse clash at Buxton on Saturday and Tuesday night's trip to Altrincham were all postponed to the manager's frustration.

He added: "It is very difficult for us to gain momentum at the moment and the weather hasn't helped in that regard.

"It's not just the match days that are the issue but also training. We were meant to be training at the 3G pitch at Dudley College this week but I had to call that off because of the safety issues from a travelling point of view.

"It's frustrating but we just need to focus on a strong showing when we do get back to action."
