LYE Town left it late to produce their best display of the season when they blitzed champions Bromsgrove Sporting 5-0.
In front of their biggest crowd of the season, Lye extracted immediate revenge for their Worcestershire Senior Urn defeat to Sporting on penalties by producing a sizzling show.
Jack Till struck twice for Lye with Adam Meacham, Adam Garmson and Lee Chilton also on target.
Lye boss Craig Harris said: "According to the Midland League form guide we've been a top eight side over the past 20 games and I'd be silly to rip that apart."
But Lye weren't so lucky when they brought down the curtain on their Midland League contest last Saturday with a 4-2 defeat at home to a Coventry United side who are chasing a top six finish.
Harris admitted: "We were missing goalkeeper Tom Turner, who is suspended and found ourselves 3-0 down before we got going."
Lye clawed back goals through Lee Chilton and Jack Till, but it wasn't enough.
Harris added: "I've got a decent squad of players which I'm looking to build upon for next season.
"At the moment I'm looking to sort out a pre-season venue and then arrange some friendly fixtures."
