WORCESTER Warriors will face Munster, Hartpury College and Birmingham Moseley in pre-season.

The Sixways side will start their pre-season campaign against Championship Hartpury College at Sixways on Saturday, August 12 (4pm).

Gary Gold’s Warriors will look to get their programme off to a winning start against a Hartpury side who stormed to the National League One title with 30 wins out of 30 last term.

Warriors will then travel to Billesley Common to face National League One Birmingham Moseley on Friday, August 18 (7.30pm).

It will be the first meeting between the sides since Warriors won promotion from the Championship in 2015.

Worcester’s preparations for the new season will conclude with the visit from Guinness PRO 12 giants Munster on Thursday, August 24 (7.30pm).

Munster finished top of the Guinness PRO12 table and also made it to the semi-finals of the European Champions Cup in the 2016/17 campaign.

The match could also see Donncha O’Callaghan line up against his former club.

O’Callaghan spent 17 years with Munster and his 263 appearances for the province is still an all-time club record.

Gold said: “Playing sides from different levels provides us with some considerably different challenges.

“We want to be in the best shape possible heading into the new season and these games will give a whole host of players the chance to test themselves.”
