FORMER Worcester Warriors wing Cooper Vuna will start for Tonga against an inexperienced Wales in Auckland tomorrow (6.30am BST).

New Zealand-born Vuna left Warriors at the end of the campaign after 19 tries in 40 appearances for the club.

Vuna made his union debut for Tonga last year having previously represented the country in league. He also two caps for Australia at union.

Tonga’s match with Wales is a forerunner to New Zealand’s showdown with Samoa at Eden Park (9am BST).

Wales are fielding a depleted squad with 12 first-choice players in New Zealand with the British and Irish Lions.

Uncapped trio Steff Evans, Seb Davies and Thomas Young have been named in Wales' team.

Vuna made 10 Aviva Premiership for Worcester last season, scoring two tries.

However, he featured just once after struggling against Gloucester at Kingsholm in early January.

The wing had moved to Sixways from Japanese side Toshiba Brave Lupus in March 2015.

He made an immediate impact, bagging eight tries in nine appearances - including a hat-trick at Cornish Pirates - as Warriors made an immediate return to the Premiership.

Meanwhile, Warriors’ scrum-half Francois Hougaard is on the bench for South Africa in the second Test against France in Durban on Saturday (4pm BST).

Hougaard damaged his nose as the Springboks powered to an emphatic 37-14 victory at Loftus Versfeld last weekend.
