ALEXEI Kervezee hit his second hundred of the season for Worcestershire Seconds who made a strong reply with the bat on day two of the Second Eleven Championship match with Derbyshire Seconds at the 3aaa County Ground.

Kervezee responded to losing his spot in the senior side for the splendid Specsavers County Championship triumph over Leicestershire in positive fashion by making 140 off just 145 balls.

The former Dutch international hit three sixes and 20 fours as Worcestershire amassed 369-7 declared in reply to Derbyshire's 476-4 declared.

Kervezee shared a third wicket stand of 187 in 36 overs with Alex Hepburn before he was dismissed at 264.

Hepburn came within 17 runs of his third century of the campaign before he was bowled by Alex Hughes after striking one six and 11 boundaries off 132 deliveries.

Then keeper Alex Milton weighed in with a quickfire unbeaten 59 off 73 balls with six fours before skipper George Rhodes declared 107 runs behind.

Derbyshire extended their overall advantage to 129 in reaching 22-0 off five overs from Josh Tongue and Charlie Morris before the close.
