A COMICAL Black Country theatre group will be back on the Stourbridge stage with a brand new and original play.

The latest offering from A Comedy Theatre Group will be ‘Saving Charlie Davis’ – a debut comedy-drama written by local author Keith Walker.

The play tells the story of troubled man Charlie Davis, who has lost his job and is too scared to go home and face his terrifying battle-axe of a wife.

But what is his alternative? Maybe his bone idle overweight best friend Tom can help him out. He knows everyone and surely he will think of some way to save Charlie.

Then enters the gorgeous Jenny Jones – will she be Charlie’s saviour?

The action takes place at Gigmill Methodist Church Hall, in Witton Street, on Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8, from 7.30pm.

Tickets costing £5 are available now by calling 07954 692593, or emailing acomedytheatre@hotmail.co.uk.
