Simon Cowell is set to be honoured with a top TV industry award for his contribution to entertainment.
The X Factor and Got Talent producer will attend the TV industry's MIPCOM in Paris in October as a keynote speaker, and will also collect his gong at a ceremony at the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He will be recognised for the way he has changed music and TV by reintroducing and transforming the talent show format, which has been rolled out to 62 countries for the Got Talent series and 49 for X Factor.
Simon also produced his first film last year, the One Direction behind-the-scenes documentary This Is Us.
Conference producer Paul Zilk said: "Simon Cowell is a visionary producer whose television franchises are on air in almost 200 territories around the world, underlining his status as a global creative icon.
"In recognition of his amazing career as a creator of international formats and his formidable impact on the entertainment industry as a whole, we are honored to welcome him."
MIPCOM runs from October 13 to 16 in Cannes.
