GUITAR-wielding satirist Steve Gribbin is the latest headliner to take centre stage at a Black Country comedy club next week.

The Scouser has become a favourite on the UK comedy circuit with his original and topical songs, and he has been announced as the headline act at the ever-popular Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club when it returns to Katie Fitzgerald’s, in Stourbridge, on Friday (November 4).

Gribbin will be supported at the club, which runs on the first Friday of every month in the marquee at the Enville Street venue, by Welshman Mike Bubbins and Londoner Philip Simon.

It will be hosted as ever by resident compere, Dudley’s Wayne Beese, who said: “We have been packed to the rafters every night so far this year and tickets are going very well for this one as well, so we would urge people to book quickly to avoid disappointment.

“Steve is an incredibly talented comic. He is well worth seeing if you haven't already – and we have two top support acts in the shape of Mike Bubbins and Philip Simon who are both pros.

“It should be an excellent night full of laughs.”

The club has been running since September 2014 and has played host to the likes of Gary Delaney, Zoe Lyons, John Robertson, Nathan Caton, Barbara Nice, Sean Percival, Patrick Monahan, Jonny Cole, Paul McCaffrey and Roger Monkhouse over the years.

Tickets for the show, which sees doors opening at 8pm, cost £10 and are available, with no booking fee, online at www.skiddle.com/e/12828538 or by calling Wayne on 07759543750.
