DUDLEY has a new top cop after the arrival of Inspector Julie Mason to cover the region's northern sector.
Insp Mason has taken over from Insp Gary Malpass who is starting a new job at Brierley Hill police station.
She will be bringing her 24 years of policing experience to neighbourhood beats including Gornal, Lower Gornal and Woodsetton, Sedgely, St James, St Thomas, Castle and Priory, Brierley Hill, Netherton, Woodside and St Andrews, Kingswinford North and Wall Heath, Kingswinford South and Wordsley.
Insp Mason said: "I am genuinely delighted to be the new neighbourhood inspector for Dudley North constituency.
"Dudley North offers the exciting challenge of working with young and old alike. Some will be new to the Dudley area, whilst some will have lived and worked here for many years."
