HEARTY homemade food is being served up at Brierley Hill market hall once again following the opening of its new cafe.

When the previous cafe closed its shutters on June 15 it was missed by customers and traders alike but seven weeks later Vicky Clyde stepped in and opened Clyde’s Cafe.

Miss Clyde previously worked in a sandwich shop in Stourbridge before deciding to take the plunge and open her own business.

She said: “My friend walked past and saw it was up for rent - I’d always been interested in doing food and thought I would give it a go. It’s been really good so far and I have had good feedback and we’ve got a couple of regulars.”

Market manager Roy Pugh said the cafe was missed during its closure and added: “The new owner Vicky is very enthusiastic and aims to give her customers value for money with a friendly and professional service serving locally obtained freshly cooked food.”
