A MAN has been charged with driving whilst unfit through drink after a wall was partially demolished when it was hit by a car in Dudley.
The incident took place at Our Blessed Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury church.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to St Joseph Street, Dudley at around 9pm on September 29 after a car crashed into a wall.
"There was no trace of the driver when emergency services arrived. A 56-year-old man was subsequently arrested at the scene at 10:50pm on suspicion of drink driving."
The man, from Dudley, is due to appear in court later this week.
