THOUSANDS of Dudley people paid tribute to fallen heroes on Remembrance Day at parades and services around the region.
Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Finch, led tributes at the town's cenotaph in Ednam Road where he was joined by members of the community, civic dignitaries, students from Dudley College and cadets.
Young people joined armed forces veterans and Dudley Performing Arts students for a parade through the town centre accompanied by the Salvation Army band.
Councillor Alan Finch, Mayor of Dudley, said: “I was delighted to see so many people joining me for what is a very important occasion for us. We have a long and happy tradition of working with the armed forces and the Remembrance Sunday parade and service gives everyone an opportunity to acknowledge the huge sacrifices they make for us.”
Around 500 people took part in a service of remembrance at All Saint's Church in Sedgley after a parade led by Sedgley Royal British Legion.
The parade, which included uniformed organisations from around Sedgley, followed a route from Dean Street through the Bull Ring.
