A SHOP worker locked himself in a cupboard as an armed gang broke in and raided a Sedgley shop.
Four men carrying sledge hammers and axes forced their way in through a front door at Kings service station on Wolverhampton Road at around 4am today (November 27).
They escaped with a quantity of cigarettes and cash, the worker was unharmed.
Officers from West Midlands Police are carrying out CCTV inquiries at the scene and anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call police on 101.
