A PENSNETT man and his three dogs were rescued from their burning home this morning.
The two-storey house in Tiled House Lane went up in flames at around 1.41am.
Eight firefighters tackled the blaze, which started at the rear of the property but quickly spread to the kitchen, living room and a first floor bedroom.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said it was not yet clear how the fire had started but it was thought to be accidental.
Paramedics treated the man for smoke inhalation and he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.
The three dogs were also suffering from smoke inhalation and were given oxygen by fire crews.
They are said to be “recovering well”.
