HUNDREDS of people celebrated the ancient festival of Pentecost at a worship event at Dudley College.
The event, called Ignite, was organised by Dudley’s Methodist churches and saw groups from across the borough act, make music and dance at the college’s Broadway Campus last Sunday.
Hymns were sung with support from Harmony, there was moving drama from the Saltmine Theatre, dance group Stance showed off their moves and there was a powerful testimony from Tough Talk.
Generous donations also meant that £600 was raised for local good causes and nearly 200kg of food was donated to the Black Country Food Bank.
Young church member Rachel Moss said: “The Holy Spirit was definitely at work – it was bostin’.”
