DUDLEY Zoo is trying to trace the owners of a lost Alexandrine parakeet.
The green-coloured bird was found in Dudley Market Place on Friday (June 10) and brought to the zoo, where senior keeper Lesley Lewis has temporarily took it under her wing.
Lesley said: “The bird is obviously a pet and seems to have quite a character.
“It’s very beautiful so we’d love to reunite it with its rightful owner as soon as possible as someone must be missing it.”
Anyone who thinks it may be their bird should call the zoo on 01384 215313 with a description.
