SHAKESPEARE fans are in for an unforgettable theatrical experience at Stourbridge Town Hall.
The Tempest will be broadcast live from the Royal Shakespeare Company to the Black Country venue's big screen on January 11.
Described as the "most magical" of the Bard's plays, it tells the story of a man who has been robbed of his position, power and wealth by his enemies and left in isolation on a distant island.
But this is no ordinary man, and this no ordinary island.
Prospero (played by Simon Russell Beale) is a magician, able to control the very elements and bend nature to his will, so when a sail appears on the horizon, he reaches out across the ocean to the ship that carries the men who wronged him.
Creating a vast magical storm he wrecks the ship and washes his enemies up on the shore, leaving them lost on a fantastical island where nothing is as it seems.
Tickets for the 7pm show can be booked by calling the box office on 01384 812 812.
