A SEDGLEY pub has been named as a beacon of quality brews by real ale connoisseurs.
The Beacon Hotel has been declared Pub of the Year once again by Dudley and South Staffs CAMRA.
This is the eighth time the Bilston Street pub has scooped the award after being judged on a number of factors, including beer quality, atmosphere, service, welcome and value,
Pub manager, Simon Massey, was delighted with the win, adding that he thought the "unique" set up of the pub, with a brewery in the back serving "quality beer", set it apart from its rivals.
He added: "We also have very good staff who are very knowledgeable about the products we sell.
"The customers are really pleased and think it's well deserved."
