A DUDLEY schoolgirl's Christmas stamp design has received the royal seal of approval from Prince Charles.
Arwen Wilson won a competition organised by Royal Mail and her drawing of a snow family is now featured on festive second class stamps.
The nine-year-old St Chad's Catholic Primary School pupil said she was "so happy" to have won.
Her design was picked by Prince Charles and approved by the Queen, alongside a drawing by 10-year-old Ted Lewis-Clark, from Somerset, which will feature on first class stamps.
The pair were recently presented with a framed copy of their stamps by Prince Charles, when they visited Clarence House, his official residence in London.
Arwen said: "When I went to Clarence House it was very exciting.
"Prince Charles was very kind when he spoke to me and gave me a framed copy of my stamp design.
"It was a great day and I am so happy my stamp design won."
The youngsters, who both won £1,000 in vouchers and £1,000 for their schools, will also have their name featured on a special postmark that will feature on mail delivered to addresses nationwide.
