A DRINK driver from Brierley Hill has been banned from the roads for two years.

When Matthew Christopher Lawlor, aged 33, of Baxter Road, was caught behind the wheel in Brierley Hill on August 2, he had 96mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was given a 12 month community order and must carry out 80 hours unpaid work.

Lawlor must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £250.

Carl Edward Bailey, aged 37, of Bristnall Road, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for two years, for assaulting a woman and damaging a door in Oldbury on August 27. He must carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £250, a victim surcharge of £115 and £300 court costs.

Nicola Rhodes Jordan, aged 26, of The Willows, Netherton, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing items, worth £70.95, from B&M Bargains, Dudley, and obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty on November 4. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £85 court costs.

Luke Cheshire, aged 29, of Valentine Road, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 23 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe violence would be used in Oldbury on June 25. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £500 court costs.

Nicholas Stephen Southall, aged 37, of Severn Road, Halesowen, was fined £110 for stealing fragrance, worth £144, from Debenhams, Brierley Hill, on November 6, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Richard David Hobbs, aged 29, of Langston Road, Dudley, was disqualified from driving for 45 months for drink driving in Brierley Hill on October 3. When tested, he had 102mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mlgs. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance or MOT. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Darren Perks, aged 31, of Hern Road, Amblecote, was given a 12 month community order for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Oldbury, on October 21. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Andrew Mark Taylor, aged 36, of Derwent Close, Brierley Hill, was fined £115 for failing to stop a vehicle in Dudley on October 28, on being required to do so by a police officer in uniform. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Scott Wilkes, aged 38, of Severn Road, Halesowen, was given a six month community order for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence in Halesowen on October 27. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months. He was also given a four week curfew and for the duration, must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. Wilkes must pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Ashley Gennaro Gravante, aged 30, of Sandringham Drive, Rowley Regis, was fined £80 for driving without insurance in Dudley on August 31. He was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Samantha Truslove, aged 28, of New Mill Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing cheese and coffee, worth £31.30, from B&M Bargains, Dudley, on November 8. She was also sentenced for breaching a criminal behaviour order on October 26 and November 8. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Jodie Dawn Louise Westwood, aged 34, of Wrens Hill Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing coats, worth £279, from Superdry, Brierley Hill, on October 28 and having a foil-lined bag – an item used in the course of, or in connection with, theft. She was given a four week curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 7am. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

Charles William Edward Aldridge, aged 47, of Sedgley Road, Woodsetton, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Tipton on October 28. When tested, he had 85mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must carry out 150 hours unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Emmie Elizabeth Stothard, aged 33, of Fisher Street, Brierley Hill, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Brierley Hill on October 20. When tested, she had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance. She was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must carry out 200 hours unpaid work. She must pay a £200 fine, a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.
