THE hidden history of medieval Dudley will be brought to life at the town's museum.

The 'Treasures of the Museum' series continues on Wednesday February 14, focusing on life in a medieval castle.

Visitors will be able to look at replica weapons and everyday equipment to get a taste of what life was like for Dudley Castle's medieval residents.

The talk is inspired by objects that were excavated from the castle in the 1980s, including weapons, worked bones, coins and pottery.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: "This is a new offer from Dudley Museum at Dudley Archives. These sessions allow people to discover the stories behind the pieces in the collection."

The talks provide visitors with the history of each artefact and what we can learn from the piece today.

The free, drop-in, half-hour talks start at the museum, at Dudley Archives on Tipton Road,at 10:30am, 11:30am and 12:30pm in the education room.
