A STOURBRIDGE man was handed a suspended sentence for stealing two packets of waffles from Tesco.

Jamie Lee Bourne, aged 37, of Junction Road, was sent to prison for four weeks, suspended for 12 months, for taking the items, worth £3, from the Stourbridge supermarket, on February 19.

He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

The following also appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court between February 16 and 22:

David Wesley Flavell, aged 35, of Clarence Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing tobacco, worth £47, from Shell Services, Stourbridge on December 31, 2017 and alcohol, worth £40, from Fletchers Stores, Brierley Hill, on January 2. He must pay compensation of £87 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Marc Deganis, aged 51, of William Street, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 52 weeks for stealing items, worth £356.68, from stores in Brierley Hill and West Bromwich, between November 2, 2017 and February 14, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on November 2, 2017 and February 7, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Jake Paul Chinn, aged 26, of Bhullar Way, Oldbury, was fined £318 for being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the drink-drive limit in Oldbury on November 26. When tested, he had 79mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was given 10 penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £31 and £785 court costs.

Matthew Hoverd, aged 31, of Beecher Street, Halesowen, was sent to prison for two months, suspended for 12 months, for drink driving in West Bromwich on February 2. When tested, he had 98mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and must carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Lukasz Karbowniczek, aged 29, of Clay Lane, Oldbury, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Blackheath on January 22. When tested, he had 85mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Philip Vaughan, aged 41, of Ashwood Avenue, Wordsley, was fined £120 for possessing mamba in Dudley on December 6. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £185 court costs.

Tony Singh Rai, aged 47, of Dixons Green Road, Dudley, must pay £50 compensation after he assaulted a police officer in Oldbury on October 23. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Younis Mohammed, aged 18, of Long Lane, Halesowen, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for possessing cannabis resin in Halesowen on February 5. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Michelle Margaret Taylor Bishop, aged 42, of Halesowen Road, Old Hill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for causing £300 worth of damage to a police vehicle in Halesowen on December 22. She must pay compensation of £300 and £20 court costs.

Tina Worton, aged 26, of Forest Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a police officer in Tipton on February 6. She was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 7am. She must also pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £100 court costs.

Deniss Zherevs, aged 30, of Birmingham Road, Oldbury, was given a two month community order for stealing protein powder, worth £19.99, from Superdrug, West Bromwich, on January 19. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on February 16, having been released on bail. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Robert Anthony Jones, aged 56, of Brewery Street, Kates Hill, was fined £250 for assaulting a man and woman in Dudley on December 10 and causing damage to a window. He must pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £30 and £400 court costs.
