STAR Wars fans are invited to a 'live build' event at the Lego exhibition at Himley Hall this weekend.

Creator of the exhibition, Amor Lamine, will be joined by the team from online magazine Jedi News and friends from the West Midlands Garrison at the former stately home from 11am on Saturday.

Visitors will be able to watch as Amor, an electrician from Lower Gornal, builds the latest UCS Y-Wing, which has been supplied by Lego.

Admission is free but people can help raise cash for three borough charities by taking part in a raffle or purchasing one of 50 exclusive badges, which have been commissioned to commemorate the event.

Funds raised will be donated to the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Taylor's chosen charities - Headway Black Country, White House Cancer Support and The Hope Centre.

The live build will carry on through to Sunday but the exhibition, which includes Lego versions of gunships, a Sandcrawler, AT-AT Walkers and Jabba the Hut’s Palace, will run until September 30.
