DUDLEY South MP Mike Wood is calling on pub goers to help him pick the best pub in the constituency.
The Conservative MP is looking for a worthy entrant for the new Parliamentary Pub of the Year competition.
Nominations can be made via his Facebook page 'Mike Wood MP', where a poll will be held to decide the overall winner.
He said: “We have many great pubs, so it is difficult for me to choose.
"I am asking local people to nominate their favourite boozer and the most popular choice will go forward as our local entrant.”
Toby Perkins, chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Pub Group, added: “Pubs are crucial to our communities as well as to our economy.
"Britain’s pubs employ over 1 million people and pay around £9 billion in taxes. It is so important that we support our much loved locals, and I am delighted to hear that Mike Wood MP is doing that by nominating a pub, I wish the nominated pub well and hope they might make the final down in Parliament this autumn.”
