A CLOTHING bank is being set up at Russells Hall Hospital today (Thursday).
Donations of clean and undamaged trousers, skirts, tops, jumpers, coats, shoes, hats, scarves or gloves are being sought to hand over to vulnerable patients when they are discharged.
Senior discharge facilitator, Taahira Patel, said: “With winter soon coming and Russells Hall Hospital staff delivering excellent patient care on all wards, we need the public to be aware that we are looking for spare clothes to help get people discharged comfortably.
“A clothing bank is being launched to provide vulnerable patients with emergency clothing to help keep them warm and clean on discharge from hospital.”
People can drop donations off in the hospital's main foyer between noon and 4pm.
