LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn visited Halesowen today to outline the party’s plan to “rebuild Britain for the many, not the few”.

The crowd chanted “we love you Jeremy” as he arrived in Peckingham Street at 11.15am to pledge his support for Ian Cooper, the party’s parliamentary candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis.

Fresh from this week’s Labour Party Conference, which he said was the “biggest there has ever been”, he discussed plans for a “National Education Service that provides education from cradle to grave”.

“I don’t believe that young people should be forced into debt to get an education,” he said.

Mr Corbyn attacked the Conservative goverment for handing out tax giveaways to the well-off while schools were left short of funds.

He told the party faithful at the wanted the legacy of the next Labour Government to be "very special" as he outlined his plans for an economy that "works for all".

He said Labour would also provide 30 hours of free nursery care per week for two to four-year-olds - something he was “determined” to achieve.

He also launched an attack on the Tories over Brexit and any future deals with America.

Mr Corbyn said: "We are not looking for any sweetheart deals with Donald Trump that would bring us chlorinated chicken."

He concluded by urging supporters to vote for Mr Cooper at the next opportunity, adding: “Our party is strong, determined and united.”
