Saracens may have made a perfect start to their title-defending season – but lock Nick Isiekwe has warned against complacency ahead of Saturday’s trip to The Stoop.

The reigning champions go to Care’s Harlequins in an unstoppable mood having made history as the first club to kick off a top-flight campaign with five bonus-point victories.

But McCall’s men will have to be at their level best to earn their first win on a ground where they haven’t emerged victorious at the Stoop since 2014.

Whilst Isiekwe praised his teammates for their impressive start, he expects London rivals Harlequins to provide a tough challenge.

“It’s been a good start to the season and we’re pleased with how things have gone for us so far but we’re not getting ahead of ourselves,” he told saracens.com

“We’re only five games in and we still have a lot we want to work on as a group. Quins are always tough opponents, especially at The Stoop, and we know it’s going to be a battle.

“The fact that it’s a London derby, under the lights on a Saturday night is really exciting and I can’t wait to get out there.”

Isiekwe started for Saracens in last weekend’s thumping 50-27 victory over Bath and the 20-year-old England international has proven his versatility both at lock and blindside flanker in the opening block of the campaign.

“I don’t mind where I play as long as I can make an impact on the team,” he said.

“I’m just enjoying playing for Saracens.

“There’s competition for places and that’s only going to improve me as a player.”

The clash between the two London rivals marks a milestone for Premiership Rugby, with the fixture being the first to be shown live on NBC in America.

Sarries prop Titi Lamositele hopes his side can benefit from the increased exposure and take their performances to a new height on an international stage.

“Having games on TV most definitely helps. All the exposure we can get to show how good rugby is as a sport is good and it’s about trying to get the Americans to fall in love with it,” he told saracens.com

“If the majority of fans over there watch on Saturday then they’ll see a great game.”
