A 'PASSIONATE' librarian has been swept off her feet by a nomination for a national award for promoting romantic novels.
Sharon Hunt has been shortlisted for Librarian of the Year at the Romantic Novelists Association Industry Awards 2018.
The library assistant at Kingswinford Library in Dudley engages customers by promoting romantic literature at the Market Street library as well as regularly blogging about the books she has read.
Sharon said: “I read and review all kinds of books, but am very interested in the romantic genre.
"I get these books from Dudley Libraries and also as pre-release review copies from publishers.
"I am very passionate about reading and the promoting of books not only within our libraries but everywhere!”
David Potts, partnership manager for Dudley Libraries, said: “The essence of being a great library worker is establishing a connection between yourself, the stock and resources of the library, and the people we serve.
"Sharon is clearly demonstrating that and everyone at Dudley Libraries - staff and customers – are very excited she has been nominated for this award.”
Sharon will discover whether her nomination has been successful next Wednesday evening (November 14) at the RNAI's awards ceremony in London.
