LAST night's super snow moon lit up the Black Country sky as it reached its closest point to earth.
The spectacle was captured on camera by News Group Camera Club member Deborah Anne Jones, at around 5am this morning (February 20).
The stellar snap shows the super moon at its fullest and it looks set to be the biggest and brightest moon this year.
Each month, the full moon carries a different name signifying what is most associated with that time.
This is because centuries ago, lunar months were associated with the changing seasons rather than the solar year.
February was given the title of the 'snow moon' title because it was the month associated with heavy snowfall.
