A MAN was taken to hospital following a kitchen fire in Netherton.
Fire crews were called to a first floor flat on St John's Street, just after 10pm last night (February 28) to reports of a house fire in a kitchen.
Nine firefighters from Haden Cross and Brierley Hill fire stations attended the scene and put out the blaze.
A man had managed to escape the building before fire crews arrived, and he was treated at the scene by medics for injuries not believed to be serious.
He was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.
Fire crews were able to contain the blaze and the fire is believed to have been accidental.
