STAFF at Prestwood Pet Crematorium in Stourton were paid a visit by government officials from South Korea as part of a trip to raise awareness of animal welfare.
A group of South Korean officials, led by the mayor of Imsil-Gun Sim Min, took time to visit the crematorium as part of a trip to the UK to find out more about animal rights.
Jack Devonport, who works at the crematorium, said: "We got a call from their tour guide office in London saying Korean government officials want to come over to learn more about animal welfare as they want to increase their reputation for animal rights.
"They saw every last detail, they went to see how the equipment works, what service we provide and our chapel of rest.
"They were impressed and they took lots of photos."
He added that it was an honour to host the delegation, on what was their first visit to the UK, where they also attended Crufts.
Prestwood Pet Crematorium, based on Prestwood Drive in Stouton, opened in 1996 to provide respectful send-offs to much loved pets.
