A DUDLEY man stole meat and whiskey supermakets in Lower Gornal and Merry Hill, Dudley Magistrates' Court has heard.

Terry Payne, aged 32, of Stallings Lane, Dudley, pleaded guilty to stealing £59.05 worth of meat from Sainsburys in Lower Gornal; whiskey from Tesco in Dudley and £60 of whiskey from Asda in Merry Hill. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £155 in costs, compensation and surcharges.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

James Hodgetts, aged 39, of Richmond Street, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to possessing a kitchen knife in public without good reason or lawful authority. He received a 20 week prison sentence due to the seriousness of the offence and for committing an offence during a suspended sentence. He was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Wayne Williams, aged 39, of High Street, Lye, pleaded guilty to stealing baby milk, glue and candles. He received a Community Order and was ordered to pay £110.99 in compensation and fines.

Joanne Handley, aged 43, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, pleaded guilty to stealing £111.98 of washing and laundry goods from Wilkinsons in Dudley. She received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Sunil Kainth, aged 34, of Cheshire Road, Smethwick, pleaded guilty to stealing £42 of perfume from Debenhams. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £42 in compensation.

Craig Montroy, aged 30, of North Street, Dudley, pleaded guilty to allowing himself to be driven in a moped known to be stolen. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £70 in surcharges and costs.

Keith Dyas, aged 63, of Highmoor Road, Rowley Regis, pleaded guilty to assault. He received a Community Order.

Vasile Ramadan, aged 30, of Cemetery Road, Smethwick, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker. He was ordered to pay a fine, compensation, surcharge and costs totalling £345.

Raymond Fox, aged 31, of Norton Crescent, Netherton pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He received a Community Order and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He must also pay £735 in compensation, surcharges and costs.
