A MAN stole two bottles of white wine, one Galaxy chocolate bar and four packets of Rolos from B&M, Dudley Magistrates Court has heard.

Richard Owen, aged 39, of Parkfield Road, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of white wine, one Galaxy chocolate bar and four packets of Rolos from B&M in Brierley Hill. He received a Community Order with a curfew and was ordered to pay £9.98 in compensation.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

Dale Mansell, aged 37, of Priory Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to stealing £30 worth of coffee from the Co-Op. He received a six month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Daniel Slater, aged 38, of Gorsty Avenue, Brierley Hill, was found guilty of failing to stop after causing damage to a gate and wall when driving and failing to report the accident at a police station within 24 hours of the accident occurring. He was ordered to pay £2,000 in compensation.

Matthew Chater, aged 35, of St Georges Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable by beating him and using threatening, abusive or insulting words that were racially aggravated. He was ordered to pay fines, costs, surcharges and compensation totalling £945.

Aaron Bittles, aged 43, of Walker Avenue, Tividale, pleaded guilty to possessing a large kitchen knife in a public place without good reason or legal authority. He received a four month prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Shakar Hussain, aged 35, of Richmond Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to driving over the alcohol limit. He was ordered to pay £285 in fines, surcharges, and costs and is disqualified from holding a driving licence for 20 months.

Stephen Bennett, aged 33, of Cromwell Street, Dudley, pleaded guilty to causing harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and the offence was racially aggravated. He received a four week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

Donnella Jones, aged 54, of Naylors Grove, Upper Gornal, pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threatening behaviour against a police constable. She was ordered to pay £200 in fines, compensation and surcharges.
