A MAN has been arrested after barricading himself in a house and setting it on fire.
Police were called to an address on Stourbridge Road in Dudley at 7.45am this morning, following reports of a man armed with a knife.
When police arrived the man barricaded himself in the house and set it on fire.
Firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service worked with police to secure the man.
A police spokesman confirmed that once the house was safe, officers entered and detained him using Taser.
The man, a 39-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
A spokesman from West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that 14 fire fighters from Dudley, Brierley Hill and Haden Cross fire stations attended the scene.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
