A WOMAN will appear in court after a motorbike collision in Quinton.

The smash happened on Hagley Road West, near the junction with Stanley Road in Quinton, on April 1, at 8.45pm.

Kathryn Walmsley, age 33, of Castle Road West, Oldbury, will appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on April 30, charged with failing to provide a breath specimen.

The motorbike rider was taken to hospital after the incident, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A woman has been charged with failing to provide a breath specimen, following a collision between a car and a motorbike on Hagley Road West near the junction with Stanley Road.

"The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment after the collision, which occurred at 8.45pm on Monday (April 1).

"His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

"Kathryn Walmsley, age 33, of Castle Road West, Oldbury, will appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 30."
