AFTER many ups and downs since the last time we were at Wembley for the FA Cup, today is a day the Albion deserve.

From losing the Goldstone to playing at Withdean and then Gillingham, this is where the club deserves to be, at Wembley with more than 30,000 loyal fans cheering them on.

We have a fantastic home ground, manager, chairman, board, staff and team. Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves if we think about what the club has been through.

It is easy to forget, playing the likes of today’s opponents Manchester City week in week out, how far we’ve come. We are in our second season back in the top division, the team is getting stronger and stronger, and we play in a stadium to be very proud of.

But today let’s remember and cherish the position the club finds itself in, gained through hard work and the undying commitment of many.

Back at the national stadium, enjoying a party atmosphere from the moment people set off by car, coach and train. Just like our home stadium, the facilities will be first rate at Wembley. Both around the stadium and in the seats.

Let’s get that atmosphere right from the start, take it all in and cheer Chris Hughton’s team on from the kick-off. They have done us proud for a long time now and deserve every cheer and chant. Every flag and scarf waved in the air.

Everybody watching, listening at home or watching our live blog can urge the team on. Dare to dream, anything can happen.

And even more than that, enjoy the day. The Seagulls deserve it.
