AN OUT OF CONTROL garden fire spread to a shed, fencing and trees - with plumes of smoke visible from the nearby M5.
The blaze happened in Seven Acres Road at around 6.19pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Eight firefighters from Oldbury and Woodgate Valley tackled the blaze.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said the owner of the home had set fire to some rubbish in the garden which then spread to a wooden shed, fence panels and bushes and trees.
One fire engine and a brigade response vehicle attended the scene.
Plumes of smoke could be seen by drivers on the nearby M5 motorway.
