A ROBBER stole a sum of money from a bookmakers after threatening staff with a knife.
A man entered Ladbrokes in Rowlands Road, Worthing about 5.50pm on Wednesday.
He threatened staff with a knife and stole money before fleeing the premises towards Shelley Road.
A police helicopter was called in to search for the suspect alongside officers on the ground after attending the scene. But after an area search they failed to find the suspect.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
The suspect is described as white, of slim build and wearing white trousers, a trench coat and a scarf around his face.
