KINVER Light Operatic Society members have picked up a best pantomime award for the second year running - oh yes they have!

The society has won the NODA award for best panto for its pantomime Sleeping Beauty, which was staged at Kinver High School Theatre last December, and members collected their award at a ceremony for district 8 held at Stourbridge Town Hall earlier this month.

The show, directed by Sam Houlston, starred Georgia Hand as Sleeping Beauty, Ricky Dowell as the Prince, Claire Bowles, Amy Danks and Mel Glazzard as the Three Fairies and Cathy Moreton as Carabosse,

Sophie Bishop choreographed the show's dance routines, with musical direction provided by Nina Best and directorial help from assistant director Claire Jackson.

Sam Houlston said: “We are over the moon to have won best panto for the second year running, especially against some tough competition. Claire, Sophie, Nina and I are so proud and wish to thank the entire cast and crew for helping us produce another fantastic pantomime."

This year’s panto Cinderella, which will reunite most of the production team, will run from November 30 to December 7 but before that the society will be staging Legally Blonde from May 14 to 18.
