A MAN was seriously hurt in the early hours of this morning in what's believed to have been a hit and run smash in Oldswinford, Stourbridge.

The man, thought to be a father-of-two young children, was injured in a collision in Brook Road at around 00.45 this morning (Sunday May 12).

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV footage of the crash to get in touch.

Just weeks ago in March a resident in Brook Road, Abdul Qadus, called for traffic calming measures to be put in place in the busy through road after a series of collisions which had caused damage to cars and garden walls.

Shortly after one early hours crash which dragged his wife's car up the road by about 15 to 20 yards he told how it had been lucky no one had been standing at the bus stop or they would have been seriously injured.

Anyone with information about the above serious injury crash that may be able to help the police appeal is urged to call officers on 101 and quote log no 140 of 12/05/19.
