HIGHWAYS chiefs in Dudley say they have issued an emergency road closure in New Street, Quarry Bank, due to a collapsed sewer inspection cover in the High Street.
Dudley Council traffic engineers have put up barriers around the cover in Quarry Bank High Street and the authority's network manager Andrew Sumner said: "Barriers have been erected around the cover on High Street and two way flow is being maintained at the present time, however when remedial works start this may no longer be possible.
"Severn Trent Water have been made aware and should be attending site imminently to take remedial action."
