REPORTS of a stabbing in Lye have been confirmed as a hoax with emergency services slamming whoever was responsible for wasting valuable police and paramedic time.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent three ambulances while West Midlands Police deployed four police response cars after an incident in Lye was reported.
But the call turned out to be a hoax.
Force Response officers took to Twitter to hit out at whoever who was responsible for the false alarm and said: "The call was a hoax and has used all these valuable services that are needed elsewhere."
