A 75-year-old man suffered a broken arm after being assaulted in the middle of Sedgley.
The man was injured after he was pushed over when he went to help a drunk teenage girl who was walking in front of cars in the High Street, a police spokesperson said.
The man suffered head, arm and leg injuries and was taken to hospital, following the assault at around 8pm on Saturday June 22.
Police have recovered CCTV of the incident and are continuing to make enquiries.
