TRANSIT van owners are being warned to be vigilant by police after criminals targeted the vehicles in a spate of incidents across Stourbridge.
Vans have been targeted in Norton Road, Lavender Road, St Peter's Road, Foley Road, Gerald Road, West Street, Pedmore Lane and Swindell Road over the last week.
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Renato Di Bernardo sent a message out on the force's neighbourhood alerts system on Saturday (July 6) stating: "Over the last 7 days there has been an increase in reports of vehicle offences in the Stourbridge area particularly Transit style vans.
"West Midlands Police have received reports of vehicle interference, criminal damage and theft from motor vehicles.
"Please ensure that all vehicles are left secured and locked and if possible fit a steering lock to unattended vehicles."
