THE inquest into the death of a Pensnett man killed in an explosion at a factory has been unexpectedly halted.
Raymond Wyman died in hospital in October 2016 from injuries he received during an incident at KTC Edibles Ltd in Heath Road, Wednesbury, eight days earlier.
The 36-year-old had been working on the site using an Oxy Propane cutting torch on a tank which is believed to have contained flammable chemicals.
On July18, at Oldbury Coroner's Court, Black Country Coroner Zafar Siddique halted proceedings after a disclosure in evidence which he felt required a review by the CPS of their decision not to bring criminal charges in the case.
Mr Siddique sent the jury home and suspended the inquest until late August.
