A WOMAN was dragged along by a car in a horrifying incident in Halesowen town centre in the early hours of this morning (July 19).
Police believe the woman tried to intervene in an argument taking place between a group of people on Birmingham Road.
A car approached and a man grabbed the woman, dragging her along in his car before colliding with a parked car and letting her go.
Fortunately she was not seriously injured in the incident, which happened just after midnight.
Police are investigating the 'serious assault' and are appealing for information.
